problem

ive not connected the new clocks yet, i mean the original clocks. the r/h switchgear is connected otherwise how can i press the ignition button? i removed the battery leads, not touched the reg/rec other than remove the connector block. Speedy, the CDI was disconnected, but everything is all connected back to its original place, why would i try to start the bike without a CDI or reg/rec etc, everything is all connected.

Just thought. Didn't this happen the last time you ripped the subframe off? Then after swapping CDIs back and forth, and poking other circuits, everything cam back to life? Methinks your loom has got a dodgy connection or two that you keep upsetting. Like my bloody reg/rec... :s

What I meant was that you've unplugged it, and then plugged it back in. You might have disturbed a dodgy connection in one of the plugs, or have a wire that's broken inside the insulation that keeps losing contact.

hmm yeah this happend last time too. but last time was actually the CDI fault. it was a faulty CDI, when i got a new CDI it worked straight away, but yes i am also thinking it could be a dodgy connection somewhere... i just need to trace it back, but i will not do that tonight because its going to get me even more frustrated if i do.

I think it's going to be one of those things where you have to retrace what you have touched and check everything.

Charge the battery first though and clean the plugs.

i blaim fox piss or maybe a dodgy trigger wire from cdi to coil packs.

its cranking so safety circuit is closed, so no spark would be kill switch, dodgy coils or supply to the coils.

yes but if its cranking then there should be enough power to fire a spark
