Re: power loss, dead battery or regulator gone?
ok well it was 3 weeks ago this happened and iv been riding the bike (with the lights on) everyday and had no problem so i assume it was just the battery dieing
o and i think i may have taken those voltage readings with the lights on, that would have effected the results wouldnt it?

Re: power loss, dead battery or regulator gone?
yeah the readings would have been lower because the lights were on....
looks as if it was the battery so problem solved mate....
if it was the reg rec then it wouldnt last anymore than a few days so long as you werent using your lights and if the alternator was on its way out it wouldnt show readings as good as 13volts with the lights on.
:D

Re: power loss, dead battery or regulator gone?
having lights on usually takes .5v away, i'm looking to order me some LED bulbs for the brake lights and side lights as they use far less current and put less drain on the already small electrical system.
