CDI testing?
In all the years i have been about here.. i have not heard/read that there is a way to test a NC29 CDI unit.. esp in the same way as the modern bikes plugged in to a computer.. as far as i know nothing is wrong with mine, but i am looking at a full engine transplant & i do know that its good practice to also use the CDI from the new lump than use the original one.
anyone ever heard of plugging in a NC29 CDI to a computer to check it?

Re: CDI testing?
Lol - and why is that ? a CDI is a CDI it either works or doesn't so why would you want to change it unless its for one with a different mapleopard_pagan wrote:but i am looking at a full engine transplant & i do know that its good practice to also use the CDI from the new lump than use the original one.

Re: CDI testing?
You can test the CDI unit with a multimeter. The genuine Honda workshop manuals should give you the required resistance readings

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.
