NC30 rear disc removing question.

Ive got got one thats not meant to be a piston removing tool but it does the same job and was dead cheap off ebay. I couldnt even tell you what its meant to be but i'll grab a picture of it later, looks a but like a pair of scissors with blunt ends that go inside the piston then you wind them out till it grips. Ive never had a piston defeat me yet and ive overhauled some rotters with em.

Seriously...how do you use it to pull a caliper piston?

hmm probably need to use the mole grips. i dont have a compressor, i tried to move it with some pliers with a tower round it and it wouldnt move but it also didnt damage the piston. maybe i could do the same with the mole grips.

If hydraulic pressure in the brake system won't budge the remaining piston, I can't see pliers, mole grips, diy removal tools or an airline doing the job, are you sure the brake system was fully bled?
It SHOULD have come out with hydraulic pressure.

i am trying to take my front wheel off to get the stem changed, however i have lifted the bike up with two jacks and it isnt that stable and when i try to remove the front wheel axle the whole bike wobbles as if its going to fall.

is it possible to remove the front wheel axle while the front wheel is touching the ground? i could set the axles just below so when the axle comes off the bike will fall onto the jacks?

i just dont want the bike to fall while trying to remove the axle.

well the brake piston is stuck in solid. i used a molegrip no help.. mole grip with waterhose pliers, no help.. molegirp with rubber mallet no help. that thing will not move. and i dont see how a piston removal tool is gonna make any difference at all , i just dont see it having enough grip. itl most likely slide off. high pressure compressed air might work.

Try a dot punch inside the piston to shock it, and rotate, other wise heat to melt the seals

okay, is it the seals that is preventing it from coming out? and il melt the seals tomorrow. one thing, the inside of the piston is sort of heavily marked... but no marks on the outer shell, does it matter if its marked inside?

How are you going o get high pressure compressed air to work if one piston is out, even if reinserted, but remember, high pressure brake fluid didn't do it!
