I think: Carbs running empty when riding hard.
Ive got an NC30. Did the carbs like explained in the forum. Set floats to 6,8mm. Jets is 115mm all around. Didnt set the fuel/air screw to 2,25 turns. Only see it afterwards. When you take it up to the limiter (15500rpm) 1st and 2nd runs fine. Then total lost of power and stop running. 30 seconds later it starts and run again. Did the convertion on the fuel tap, losing the vacuum. 1st, 2nd and 3rd runs fine till about 14000 in 3rd then slight loss of power and in 4th power lack and then stop running. Please i need help!!! Thanks for best online forum ever!!!!

Bike should be run on unleaded.
Have you got the rubber flap present at the front of the carbs?
Is anything obstructing the air intake at all?
Do you live at any sort of high altitude?
Plus I'd sort that air/fuel screw, might help.

Check to make sure the fuel tap to carbs hose isn't kinked, I managed to do that, and the bike behaved like it was out of fuel if you gave it full beans for a few moments, then returned to normal.

I live in Rustenburg near Pretoria. High alt. Checked pipe. It looks ok. There is no rubber in front of air box. I changed petrol to unleaded now.

What fuel were you running it on?
Also check the tank breather on the right hand corner

Re: I think: Carbs running empty when riding hard.
After test run on unleaded this morning i still have the starvation problem end of 4th gear. Also noticed that when cold i got a misfire from 5000 to 7000 rpm. When bike is warm the misfire increases from right about idling up to 7000rpm then it rev clear?
