Hi guys.would like to ask anyone if ever had this problem that bike is dead on spark.i changed pickup coil came off rgv 250 as ohms are the same and cdi unit came off bandit 400 as breaker said is the same one.please help.if maybe anyone know if the cdi or the pi kup coil are not good for the model i will appritiate

Never heard of anyone running a B4 cdi before.
Even on the B4 there are two cdi's and the bike will not run if the wrong one is fitted, the bike will produce a spark but not run (pre and post 1993).
You could check that there is 12v at the coil for starters.
Regarding the RGV pick up is it the same size? the gap between the pick up and trigger would need to be the same and what resistance is it giving.
You can check it works with a ohm meter, the meter reading will fluctuate when the engine is turned over.

Hi.the pick up coil is giving me a good ohms on multimeter when turning the engine with rgv pickup coil.regarding the bandit cdi on gsxr aparantly are the same but part numbers are different as i asked the seller for once and twice if it will work amd he confirmed that it will work as the same but yesterday wwnt to a bime elecgrition amd turned out that the coils are givving very with signals so now need to buy coils to be sire that everything is working.the thing that im gonna do is to buu the coils of the same bike which is the bandit necause to get gsxr400 coils is very difficult

Thabks mate.i have no other way but to try the bandit oils once the cdi unit work on gsxr.il get back here to tell you if its work or not :-)
