As others have said at the start you need to return the bike to as stock as posible if your gonna fettle with the carbs do it right, and put the right parts and money into, i can guarentee that fitting 128s and expecting never to need taking them off again is not going to happen.

yeah, i understand what ur sayin but i just wanna get it runnin. no time to rejet again etc. and the sound since the flaps been opened is wicked. gonna run a pipe into airbox and take 1 of needle washers off and see if that helps. u guys must realise the humidity here in s.a is hectic and its been like 30'C also and everybody ive spoken to here says they runnin at least 125's. guess ill just have to see how it turns out in the mornin...

The higher the temperature and humidity would mean less oxygen in the air, so you would require small jets if im thinking the right way round a stock nc30 from japan was 110 a comfortable max jet for stock bike would be 118 tops.
Your bike is stock with a flap removed and an end can and you want to run 128s i suspect that if you dont have time to rejet you'll not have time to rebuild the bike when the engine goes bang

i understand what u saying, im gonna sort it just not right now, it still has to get some repairs before i can really ride it anyway. The honda dealership near me had 122 and 125's. what do u think i should put in then? takin into consideration the flaps been removed and the fins in the snorkle have been cut out.

running lean isnt a good idea, neither is running stupidly rich,
Stop fucking about and listen rather than starting each reply with "i understand what your saying" because you dont as your still adamant that because the flaps and snorkel are goosed you think you can cheat around another problem made,
To get 128s to work right you need a full exhaust system, a less restricted airfilter, different neddles posibly, and hrc feeder tray.

thank you, thats what ive been wanting to know. i know its too rich, im not the one who chose the size. all the top mechanics here told me to even though from the research ive done on here told me otherwise but they were adamant. so ive been a little confused as to listen to them or to u guys who live in UK where the conditions are very different. with all due respect, i do beleive u guys know what ur talkin about an are correct. i am runnin a hi -flo foam filter aswell, if i failed to mention it

Just remove the tank and cable tie it to the seat unit, your get loads of fresh cold air then which must be good yeah? You could then use a Henry hover fixed to the top of your carbs and have forced induction, now that would sound wicked!!!!

Just had a quick browse through the thread.
Why do you have an issue putting the bike to the spec listed in Cammo's thread?
It WORKS, may not be the perfect setup for every bike in every location but is a great (and safe) starting point but feck you have a prob with 128 & now you are doing everything possible to get the bike running right with those jets.
Get the carbs set up correctly (standard) & tweak from there.
Make sure you fit standard/genuine Keihin mains. Different makes DO vary.

For my 2p - fit a standard Honda air filter and then jet to -118/120.
It's hard to guess at what jetting you need when you run an aftermarket foam filter, it will run a lot better using the standard filter and jetted this way.
