anybody put an NC30 lump in a aprilia RS250 chassis?

the rs/rgv250 lump is... for a 2 stroke engine MASSIVE, in fact i recon the bottom end is a similar size as the 400 due to the cartridge gear box and off centered v twin configuration and weigh's in at 36.5 kg

An nc30 engine would be another 30kg's on top of that.

there was a mito on ebay not long back with a yammy xt600 engine in it i say go for the single in there and your on a winner

yeah there's a couple about, one was owned by a lad called rob at mito mondo (cagiva specialist)

but from what I've read, big single thumper = vibration

The Honda RFVC 500 / 650 engine used in the XR/XL 650 / XR500 / XBR500 / GB500 doesn't vibrate too much as it has a nice balancer shaft and is muchos fun.

Just be warey of worn cams / rockers.
