Luke's setup above is very similar to what I used to run:marcus57 wrote:I have ordered a load of different sized jets and i was going to start in the middle with them as to me that makes sense , what size have you fitted?
145 main jets
40 pilot jets
Pilot screw 1.5 turns out
HRC needles (can't remember which - I tried all and couldn't notice any difference)
HRC emulsion tubes
HRC velocity stacks
HRC air tray
Drilled carb bracket
It used to go like a good 'un!

I hav'nt ridden it since they were fitted, i bought them as a complete set off Tony (Dunken Munky) but broke my foot soon after, in fact i think i fit them to the bike with my foot in pot now i think about it.marcus57 wrote:Sweet , should make things a little easier.
Have you ridden it since you fitted the kit to it? I have ordered a load of different sized jets and i was going to start in the middle with them as to me that makes sense , what size have you fitted?
I've written down the current jets that tony had in them when he sent them up to me, but the piece of paper is at my dads where i have been all day and i forgot to look for you, but i think they have 145 in the fronts and 147.5 in the rear, and i think the pilot's are 40
i'll get back up to my dads where the bike lives this week, as i need to continue piss balling about with some A123 cells for a battery, but i'll try to remeber to get the piece of paper and confirm.

Yeah I've had the bike started and run them up and warmed them through as you sent them to me, apart from the revs hanging a little, they seem ok, like you say a decent safe starting point.
It was my intention to get them dyno'd as they are then work from there but not being able to ride it for months meant that the dyno set up got put on the back burner, hopefully get round to getting it dyno'd before xmas.
I'd expect the carb settings as they are to be in the ball park tho!
