longer fork tubes?
I looked into riser clip-ons for my '91 NC30 to get more comfort on long rides, mostly they were the wrong look or expensive. Maybe some longer fork tubes would allow mounting the stock bars above the top yoke - say about an inch and a half longer with spacers added above the springs. Or maybe longer springs as well?
I realize the bars will be above their indentations in the fuel tank, but it looks like swinging them out just a bit would work. Might require new cables, but I'm guessing not. Showa labels on my lowers read MR8-781.
Would longer tubes be a custom part or would tubes from another bike fit my need?
Thanks for any advice
Alan

Re: longer fork tubes?
VTR1000 forks are the same diameter (41mm) and are a couple of inches longer.
I'm not sure whether you could just use the tubes, but the whole front end will bolt in fine and you can use the vfr wheel.
Riser clip ons would be cheaper an probably less hassle, Rick Oliver used to sell them but I can't see them on his stock list, worth calling him to see: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=26174

Re: longer fork tubes?
Hi, could you put some straight bars and some clamps bolted onto the top yoke ( like a street fighter type arrangement)?
Cheers
