DUCT TAPE :o

Probably you're problem right there.

Plus because you have that converter it might also be the problem or adding to it.



Get the tank off and inspect the fuel hose and vacuum hose, duct tape is a very bad sign.

What's the betting the vac hose had a split and someone taped it up?

i was one to believe duct tape was an essential tool in repairs!

I'll get that checked

No no, get it replaced. A leaking/incorrectly fitted Vac pipe can cause lots of running issues.

3rd cylinder (as you are sat on the bike) is the rear right one. ;)

you'll have to take the tank off to get to it.

the cyclinder at the right had side that leans back. this is no3 - the little spigot can be seen and needs the hose fitting to it, this then connects to the tap on the outside spigot.

Turns out changing the broken vaccum tube didn't fix the problem :S I'll keep you posted
