Rvf400 nc35 fork top caps?

Hi guys, just got some rvf forks for my cbr400 nc29 and the fork caps are mullered!
And sourcing Rvf ones is seeming an impossible task .
Question is do Cbr929 954 fork caps fit? The part numbers are the same bar the model code and the fork tube diameters at the top are both 50 mm? logic says they should fit but sometimes Mr Honda has other ideas

David Silver did have them in stock when I first did my speadsheet of parts for the NC35, but they're now listing them as dead and buried. In any case, if you buy them new, they'll cost as much as a pair of half decent secondhand forks anyway. CMSNL have them listed as E97.50, then you'll pay Dutch VAT at 19%. Works out at roughly £190! If the model code is different, then usually unless it's stated they are superceded you'll most likely that they may fit on, but something else will be different enough that you'll have issues to work around.
