Soon to be new RVF400 owner looking for some help.

Post by Saltychips »

G'day i'm soon to own an RVF400 starting next week. I've got a few questions. Mainly to do with the SP exhaust systems, Is it possible to run a system like that with a Tyga body kit ? Instead of the stock fairing. Thank you.

the MHP style SP systems I reckon.

I would go for a no - they mount to the std subframe but if you have the cash to waste then I am sure it is not an obstacle.

Again though...make sure the bike works and goes around corners properly before making it into a tarts handbag.

No point having a bike that looks good that rides like a bag of shit!

Welcome to the site too btw...

Yeah that's the main problem. I could see it working but how high/low would they need to be mounted etc. Also. Thank you for the welcoming.

Debatable - i never took to the aircraft carrier launch pad look lol. and makes the bike worth about a quid when you come to sell it on.

^ yep it would look rubbish if you ask me, SP1 pipes run inline with the standard tail section and the tyga seat unit points up at the sky.

Well... Fuck. Guess i'll have to deal with a single exhaust :( I don't like twin stack style exhausts either. And I would get a Tyga maggot if it wasn't so bloody loud.

Whoa!! I don't mean to say that a pointy tyga tail looks good, or that SP style pipes will look good with it..

Oh no...

My point is that instead of spending the best part of a grand on something "you" think would make it look good....to spend that money making it actually work.

Perfect suspension, brakes, carb setup and what not.

IMO a Tyga pointy tail does not suit the bike. Not sure why people thought that it would...

To each their own!

I know you would Paul..be strange otherwise. I prefer your RC45 version.

The other thing..is that some of the installations are not quite as good as they could be and it is a bit barryboy.
