engine painting??
Hi all - i am planning to repaint my nc30 engine this winter as its looking a bit shabby, i've painted engines in the past with heat resistant spray cans but the finish hasn't been all that good, was just wondering if you can use normal 2k paint as i'm after a good finish thats long lasting, i have a spray booth and compressor etc, any advice gratefully welcomed, Cheers, Martin

Re: engine painting??
What temp will the 2 part go up to?
I'd estimate that 150degrees is the maximum temp you'll ever manage to reach and even then that's not likely (and the paint going would be the least of your worries if it got that hot).

Rick is right (as usual anyway) Ford Graphite Grey is the colour you want as an 'off the shelf' can of paint. Here's my results,
