front lights not working right

front lights not working right

hi guys took my nc30 for its mot today and it failed on the headlights.
it said on fail sheet that o/s head light was not bright enough on dipped beam and dose not light up at all on full beam?
i have replaced the bulb with no luck, what could it be?
any ideas?

Have you checked the wiring is all intact?

Probably a good idea to get your switchgear apart too, can get mucky.

appoligize for hi-jack

but on the note of lighting, i noticed other day on the nc that both lights work together at all times, so low is both and high is both, on most other bikes with 2 head lights its normally 1 for 1 and the other for full beam etc..... is this right on the nc?

Both lights should work whether your using side light, dipped beam or high beam :peace:

Seems a bit odd it should fail on one of the lights not working. People out there have single headlight conversions and they don't fail! I guess it's the old adage of if it's fitted, it must work right. Having said that, I have had a few MOTs where the headlight aim was a fail, and they only adjusted a single headlight, saying that was good enough....
