That's just a myth perpetuated by the English and anyway round here it only applies to people from the north east area of scotland. Who its said if they drop a coin it hits them on the back of the heed as they bend down to pick it up.

I think it's people from Fife who've got that reputation as it was a Fifer who told me that joke about himself.
Anyhoo, if we could collectively buy Xivlia's bike then I'd happily collect it, strip it down and take lots of pics.

Anyhow.. if there is water getting into the carbs, stands a chance it was thru the tank? Perhaps when ti rains the seal around the filler cap is letting in water.. something to investigate.

Re: xivlias thread of multiple problems?
yep. well the carbs where sitting outside under my table. so little rain gets there. but i dont understand how water go IN to the carb bowls as they were all sealed.. it was all covered. overtime i guess.. im gonna see about the filler cap too. gonna drain all the petrol out and see if its mixed in with water. if not, gonna test it myself by pouring a bucket load of water over the tank and the filler area while its closed to see if any water does get in.
but for the time being, its working, i just cant test it out properly since the throttle cable snapped. ordered a new one, should be here by Wednesday i hope.
and.... a thread about a thread? thats very interesting
