NC35 Suspension Setting Advice

Hey guys sorry if this has been covered before.
Im hoping to get my bike out on track soon and just wanted to see what people recommend as a rough starting point for the front and rear Sag ,Preload and damping adjustments.
The NC35 has the standard fork and shock at the moment, I way 78kg in full kit and i be starting out in the novice group so cant comment on my pace or riding style yet.
Sorry if this is abit vague question but i hope you guys can help.

The RVF isnt know to have very good stock suspension but you can make the most of what you have by setting the preload on the rear, youll need an extra pair of hands.

This is simple,

Unbolt rear shock, thrown in the bin.
Replace with something decent, even a later NC30 one will do, prefebably one thats been rebuilt.

Haha ye i know the standard stuff isnt up to much on these, might look at doing the BMW conversion but i see. Fork wise im not to sure if they have been rebuilt or not, it has a few mods like SP1 calipers and a QA throttle so at i guess i say the forks have been done dew to the bike feels fine on the road, it doesnt crash about and the stroke feels nice not like its 16 years old, but i cant confirm this as i have no history of the bike.

On another note do you guys know the standard settings for the suspension?

The forks are actually pretty good and if they respond to any adjustments you make then just play about with them and see what feels best. Without knowing whats inside them its trial and error, start in the middle and go from there. If a new shock is not a option just adjust it to the max and live with it, it will most likely still be too soft.

I write down what i have now and play about with them when im on the track then. Ye a new shock is in the pipe line but the bike needs new tyres and with a car project on the go aswell i have to get bits as i go, Also i like to get a few trackdays done just to see whether i enjoy it or not before i start throwing loads of money at the bike.

i can sell you a late spec NC30 shock with bracket and ill even chuck in a RS250 Remote reservoir which will give you more adjustments to the damping, tbh the shock is in pretty good condition and didnt need to be replaced but i wanted a BMW shock to throw in to it,

also have a BT090 front tyre with plenty of tread in it wanted £30+ post but will post shock, RS250 Res and tyre to your good self for £90

Hmmm how old is the late spec shock? Been rebuilt at all, will it need to be modded to fit the NC35 and how is the RS250 reservoir fitted?
