Oh ffs, I think my rear wheel bearing is knackered !

I've noticed the last few days as I ride to work the bike feels unstable on left turns. I thought it was just a funny piece of Tarmac but today I've noticed it more on any road.

If put my hands on the rear wheel at 10 o'clock and 4 o'clock and I can slightly move the wheel side to side and it feels like a knocking.

I think the bearing is shot. So what choices have I ?

I've heard it's expensive to replace them so should I just buy a 2nd hand bearing holder ?

I have a bearing holder!!! With the bearing came off an old swingarm.

I have. It isn't too hard. I didn't use a press to do it either.

Did you buy the replacement bearings new from Honda ? Where they easily available

Last time I spoke to Rick O about them, he said they were only available from Honda. It was a couple of years ago and I think he said they were about £120. I could well be wrong now though as it was a while ago.

Cant u just take the bearing out and take it to a bearing shop and get them to find one that matchs thats what id do it probaly been hell of a lot cheaper than honda as well. Also have u tried wemoto.com thats where I got my hub bearing for my nc24 and fairly reasonably priced about 40-50 pound donno if its the same size tho

ive just got some through a friend that got from a bearing supplier at £40.60 for the both sides of the hub inc seals, the only thing is couldnt get the little joining seal that holds the two simular bearings together, so just kept it off the original to refit, you may get them cheaper if you look around on the net
