eBay 'specials' and other junk finds

A place to bang on about subjects close to your heart that affect us all as 400cc riders. general banter is rife, however rudeness and abuse seem to be the norm, If a bit wet round the ears best go play elsewhere. Auto pruning of items 31 days and older

Browsing the Bay I spot this CBR400 Areo with Tri-Arm plastic being sold as a Spares/ Repair Project for £400.

Reading the listing it sounds interesting. The seller knows it an Areo and that the new plastic is from the Tri-Arm but needs painting. Its had some other new bits, and a little work has been done to it. There is a V5 and even a YouTube video of it running.

Sounds good, someone who is looking for some new plastic for their NC23 could buy this sell off the rest of the bike and hopefully end up with a cheap body kit. But then I read the last line of the advert:

"Please don't bid as aye am getting fairings paint and going mot bike before selling"

So whats the point of the eBay listing then mate? Oh, and a little English might help.

holy christ - check out this lovely FZR
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1986-YAMAHA-f ... 500wt_1275

I like the following bit - "i brought it as a completely standard bike and after 2 years of riding i got bored with the look so i started to cut bits off and and change a few things and this is finished product"

How fucking bored or high to you have to be to ruin a perfectly good bike to this degree ? maybe he "brought" too many drugs ?
