Indicator problems, wiring questions!!!! URGENT!!!
Hi im urgently in need of help with my indicators. I hate electrics and am stumped by this, and very frustrated.
My indicators stopped working, i checked the wiring at the relay which i know is a bit suspect as i have no multiplug on it, its hard wired. The wiring was off but i nothiced that the relay was knackered anyway. I got another one today, and put it on and no luck..
Now im not sure, because i have no multiplug, which wire goes where on the relay. Thats my first question i guess. What order do they go in? Looking at my wiring diagram, the green wire (earth maybe) is the middle one. But where, in relation to the 'tag' for the mutliplug, do the others go?
And im not certain that the switch is working, what happens here?
Can i check that the switch is giving a switched live out? What colour wire is this one?
I have live and earth at the relay, anything else to check?
My main concern is wiring it wrong and burning out my new realy, and ill have to start again!
Thanks in advance, Benny

It will most likely be the switchgear, common problem.
Take it apart and clean all the contacts should sort it.

the way i would check to see if the switchgear is faulty is by removing the block connector that comes from the switchgear, and the connector it connects to bridge the connections and if the indicator comes on then you know the problem lies within the swithgear.
please,god,....give me the chance to prove that winning the lottery won't spoil me!!!

Thanks for the tips. Had a go just now, took apart the switch, cleaned eveything up still no joy.
Did the bridging thing, still no joy. I have continuity between that connector block and the indiacator wires, blue for right and orange for left or whatever, its all ok.
Think my problem lies with the relay, poss the new one is wrong. Any way i can check the operation of it?
And anyone have a pic of theirs so i know what way round the wires go?
Becuase i have 2 possibilities, as i know the green wire that goes to the CDI goes in the middle. So i try it one way and nothing, try it the other and it starts fizzing up etc. now inm worried ive fuckd my new one.
Doies anyone have a link to a stupid persons guide to an indicator circuit?
Its doing my head in!
Cheers
