Clutch Plates

Post by Reggie »

Hi all
This topic has probably been done before but I will ask anyway. The clutch on my nc 35 has started to slip more in the last few weeks. I tried adjusting the free play at the clutch lever but still no joy, even oiling the cable overnight just in case.Anyway it still slips usually at high revs 9,000rpm+ so I have decided to change the clutch plates. The question is do I go for original Honda plates or replacement EBC plates or is their another way to adjust the clutch to stop it slipping.

even though EBC are much much cheaper, in the long run they don't make economical sence.
my bike has done 60K kms and i replaced the plates at about 56K. they are slipping already despite adjustemnt.
as the bike is higher milage i think the friction plates need replacing too.
just something to consider, being a 35 i doubt the milage will be as high
