NC30 seat lock stuck
I'm losing electrical power intermittently on the bike and I couldn't remove the rear seat to do some checks because the seat lock is stuck, it won't turn at all. How can you get the seat off when that happens, is there a trick to it?

Re: NC30 seat lock stuck
Try pushing down at the back where the catch is putting a bit of pressure on the seat takes it off the lock making it open far easier

Re: NC30 seat lock stuck
Maybe its seized your only other option is to reach up from under the LHS of the seat panel and pull the release cable, youll need alot of force but it should go.

Re: NC30 seat lock stuck
I almost ripped the whole seat unit apart in anger but I found a relatively easy way to open it.
I couldn't turn the key because (no idea if this is standard or a modification) when I put the seat fairing back on the metal extension on the lock that actuates the cable was inserted into a recess in the subframe about half a cm behind where it should have gone.
The way to unlock it is to remove the 6 seat unit screws on the sides, then remove the two screws under the tail that hold the back light. Then pry up the back corners of the rear seat up with your fingers and unscrew the two screws holding the H-piece in place at an angle. Then where the H-piece meets the back seat you can pry an opening and insert a flat head screwdriver in and push down on the lock mechanism and that's it.
Opening another thread about the electrical problem.
