NC35 frame finishes

Post by Drunkn Munky »

My NC35 trackbike is now stripped bare and i originally intended to powdercoat the frame and swingarm satin black as the frame is scuffed in a few places but with it being a trackbike its likely to get scuffed again which will look crap. Im not a fan of polished frames so dont wanna go that route but is there a way of polishing out the scuffs and still keeping the original look of the frame?
Anyone tried vapour or aqua blasting?

Does anyone do frame protectors for them?

I'd be tempted to do that rather than spend ages getting the frame nice only to scuff it up again (which lets face it allthough not a given has more chance with a trackbike).

There were frame protectors available but I don't know of anyone stocking them anymore. As for the frame finish, they are hard anodised when they leave the factory. There was a guy that had his frame vapour blasted but I think the pics were on the old forum.

Here's a few pics of the carbon covers I have that covers a mark on my frame,

I know the NC30 and NC35 frames are different but are the frame protectors the same?

The beams of the frame are the same, so carbon protectors will fit both.
