wire strap under pillion seat on subframe what is it?

I have a wire securing strap which is sleeved and one end connects to the sub frame where the pillion set lock is and the seat engages, the other end is not connected to anything.

Can anyone telll me what it is for? Also if you have a pic' of the area showing what's what it would be handy.

My RVF has similar that attaches the subframe to the pillion seat - guess it's the same on NC30?

You mean the helmet holder?

You put it through the tag on your helmet, hook it back on and when you close the seat you cant steal the helmet.

just took some pics.. it should be labelled if you have original fairings and decals.

here is how you use it.





Put the loop out and put it around the helmet holder tag on your helmet like so, put the end of the loop thru the little hook.



pull it forward and shut the seat.
