NC30 Fans
Yes, I know we all like them, but i'm talking about the spinny blowy ones on the back of the rad.
My bikes fan doesn't work. Bike heats up, and it doesn't come on. I've hooked it straight to a 12V supply, and it spins a treat, so I think the fan is ok. I've also replaced the fuse labelled, FAN.
I've also done the switch mod which I think I found on here, and still doesn't work.
Can anyone explain circuit for the fan, so I can try and sort it out. (I don't have a haynes manual)
There's the 3 pin connector on fan, a 0V and 12V and an earth, i'm assuming.....
Then there's 3 pin connector on the other side. And then there's a spade connector that goes to the thermostat on the rad.
So what should I be looking for?
Cheers guys!

You live in ireland what do you need a fan for?

With a multimeter you should be able to work it out from that, any problems just shout.

Re: NC30 Fans
Thanks, had a look there, and there was a wire pulled out of the ignition barrel. I soldered it back to the terminal.
I can't really see, but it seem to say FAN as one of the connections made by the ignition switch.
Hoping that that was me sorted, turned on ignition, and shorted the spade connector to the frame to get the fan to go, and no luck.
Suggestions?

Re: NC30 Fans
Are you getting 12v at the fuse for the fan? with the ignition switched on.

Re: NC30 Fans
then you have a problem between the ignition switch and the fuse, check for continuity along the blue and yellow(I think) wire.Sam-NI wrote:No!
