Gutted had my yellow honda cb400 sf K251 VKP nicked from my hardstand last night disc lock on cable locked to a ground anchor and my other bike. Cable lock bolt cropped so i suppose they lifted the front wheel and put it in a van another bike in the same road got nicked as well my house is in a bus route which stop at midnight and good street lighting and all ok at 12-30 but gone by 5am so if anyone here"s of yellow body parts or suspicious bike being advertised. Lucky my other bike was untouched maybe because it is very large with panniers on and would need a van on its own so i had better make my other bike much more secure Called the police got two civillians got a crime number but hours later and no police as much use as a wet tissue

That's really bad news Rick, I feel for you as I know what I'd feel like if mine was stolen. I hope you have some luck and get it back, but I fear the reality is that it's probably being broken right now.

Although this is absolutely of no use to you now, a good tip for bikes left chained outside is to attach a line to a rape-alarm on them. Fix a hidden a rape alarm to the bike, and use a length of 10lb fishing line, tied to something solid, clipped to the alarm's pin, using a fishing leger link, or even a strong paper clip would probably do. If it gets nicked the noise would be enough to make them run, and certainly wake you up. All you have to do is remember to deactivate it before you use the bike each time.

I have got a hidden alarm on my other bike now in case they come back and try again and another ground anchor and two locks and i have a steel bar by my front door just in case still no police visit so i suppose two bikes nicked the same night in the same road is not worth the trouble rick

Gutted for you mate, i know the feeling my nc23 was nicked 2 years ago and hidden behind bushes on a golf course, luckily a golfer saw it when he was searching for his ball so got it back next day.
Lesson learnt, i built a shed which is below my bedroom window and just about big enough to fit bike in (takes me a good 20-30 mins getting it in and out), nailed and screwed it to the fence, put a ground anchor in so there is a small hole in floor of shed big enough to fit chain in anchor, i now have ground anchor, 2 chains, 4 normal padlocks, 4 padlocks with alarms on, a wireless chain alarm so i have a box in bedroom with goes off if its touched, disc lock with alarm, shed door has 2 secuirty laches with alarms on padlocks lol

To unlock and get my bike out i have to plan ahead haha, im not fussed though as long as my bikes safe
