With help from a couple of fellow 400gb members we have arrived at the solution to the missing top end power issue with Ignitech ignition units.

I`ll put up a new thread with a full explanation over the weekend and also get an emailable package together containing a DIY fix for anyone who needs it...

Rick
Does this apply to both 30 + 35?
This only applies to the v80 versions but the CDIs are all the same minus the lead and map/advance.

So i would imagine its a firmware upgrade so would solve both problems i hope.

The 30 and 35 ignitech CDI's are different units, swapping the looms doesnt work, been there tried that. Although essentially run the same software so theres a good chance the upgrade should cover both.

Well done rick for sorting this and PD for being a persistant NC geek and doing the tests to finally put this to rest, look forward to the results.

This will correct the problem with NC30 and NC35 TCIP4 V80 units which is due to a simple error in the original Ignitech factory setup - despite urban myth/popular rumour, it`s an issue which doesn`t affect the V75 units...

Given that you only live 2 villages away, Alex it`s probably simplest if you drop it round to my house - I`ll check it for you and update if necessary...
