can someone with there tank off do me a favour?

Post by Brakedust »

Just got my new pulse generator yesterday and it fails the resistance check! I really wanted it fixed as well as its sunny and was looking forward to riding into work, so that's 2 that fail the check (mine and the 2nd hand one a got) and has got me thinking that maybe, just maybe the book is wrong.

So if anyone has a tank off or a bike in bits can they do me a huge favour and resistance check there pulse generator? its the brown connector with a yellow and a white/yellow lead and it needs to be checked on the pulse generator side.

Or if anyone has checked one before and gets a resistance that would also be very helpful as i don't want to waste any more time and money than i have to.

the resistance should be (according to the book) 340-420 ohms

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated

Looks like the haynes manual is wrong as after getting my 3rd pulse generator is also failed the test, and after playing with all my cables and removing and reconecting my ECU and changing all the fuses she now works fine!!

So back on the road now
