"I'm using a fan bracket RCV4 made for me"

There`s your trouble - the NC35 fan bracket is different from the NC30 one...

Thanks for the reply, Rick. I thought that might be the case. The fan seemed to sit really far away from the back of the radiator, and was fouling the cable running from the front of the starter motor up to the starter relay. I bolted the fan to the bracket with longer bolts and some spacers so it sat closer to the radiator, and this seemed to help. The NC35 bracket mounts the fan slightly rotated compared to the 30 bracket from what I've read. I'm loathed to ditch the bracket because it's really nicely made. I might take it in to Uni and see if I can persuade one of the Technicians to re-weld the arms in the right orientation.

I don't suppose anybody has a spare NC30 fan bracket I could borrow as a pattern? I'm happy to cover postage and a coupla beers.
