Does FZR600 foot rests fit a FZR400 3TJ?
I have a FZR400RR Exup from 1991 (3TJ). I need to fit some good foot rests that i can use on a track.
I have some non original ones, but they will snap right off if i scrape them along the ground while leaning in a turn.
I need some good ones that will allow them self to be pushed up in a situation like this.
So im wondering if any of the FZR600 foot rests will fit on my FZR400 3TJ?
Very interested in info on this matter!

Howdy - welcome to the forum :)
The standard 3TJ foot rest are spring loaded fold up type, you can take the rubber tops off by unscrewing their retaining screws. As far as I know the only manufacturer of rearsets for the 3TJ is SES http://www.sesraceproducts.com/rearsets ... -187-p.asp they have nylon on the ends so they don't did into the tarmac and they're spaced up and back .... if you can touch those down you're probaly about to follow them, you'll deck the pipe first. To be honest I'd have thought a fixed footrest would be better, the last thing you want is a peg folding up or moving.
On my bike I've adapted some Motrax DHM footrests to fit but it's a laborious job because you need to file / sand / anglegrind them so they'll stay flat.
