eBay 'specials' and other junk finds

A place to bang on about subjects close to your heart that affect us all as 400cc riders. general banter is rife, however rudeness and abuse seem to be the norm, If a bit wet round the ears best go play elsewhere. Auto pruning of items 31 days and older

I knew what that was before i even clicked the link, do you think its about time a few choice messages were sent to the deluded seller? all in the name of a little fun
Haha, I think it's been passed on a few times in the last year

The motorcycle.......

Hi there I have for sale a Honda RVF 400 NC35.

The motorcycle has covered 26135 miles from new but is showing 42061 kilometres.

The NC35 has MOT until 24thMay 2013 and taxed until 31st May 2012.

The motorcycle has recently had a service, new battery and brakes serviced as well as a new exhaust system.

The motorcycle comes complete with V5 and two sets of keys.

Also included is a selection of old receipts for work that has been carried out on the motorcycle and lots of old MOT paperwork.

The Honda RVF 400 has original panels on not cheap aftermarket ones but they have been airbrushed.

The motorcycle has a few extra's such as carbon fibre effect infill panels and crash bobbins.

The motorcycle has got age related marks and scuffs to it but nothing major but work mentioning as I don’t want anyone under the impression it is in showroom condition

Oooh i stuck a nerve with this guy is seems

Q - Hi there, lovely bike. can you tell me what engine work has been done to achieve 68 bhp please. And was it been dynoed. Thanks

A - Its a standard engine mate. Depends if its power at the crank or wheel and what dyno its on. If you want a girly argument go in a forum, there plenty of people who would love to have, your type of discussion. My superbike is 190 at the rear wheel ans has thousands spent on it. and you can have a look at the dyno sheet if that floats your boat. If you want a race bike look elsewhere please don't bother me again.

Now obviously it would be childish to bombard this chap with questions to get a rise out of him, but he either needs a poo or he took exception to my compliment.

Ha! His listing says 'THIS IS 'THE SPECIAL ONE', so it must be a 'HRC' bike, it must be, it's written in capital letters; 'SPECIAL ONE'. It might be worth pointing out to him that the only NC35's to have 68bhp were the 'special' HRC models, so his bike must be worth at least eight grand.

I might message him and let him know how special his bike is and it's true value. :?

Hows about this one - Do you think it is as special as he makes it out to be?

Difficult one that, its most likely a seriously confussed seller yet theres a slim chance something special could be lurking under those panels. Still it had bids at over £2k, someone is either gunna get a bargin or a lump of overpriced tat. Be interested to see what the proof he has is.
