Motec CDIs
Does anyone know what the NC35 Motec CDI looks like? I have a bike with what is supposed to be a Motec CDI but as I have never seen one, I can't be sure it is.
It also has "ABR 09 STAGE 3 MAP#4" written on it, i'm guessing it has been through Aly Baileys hands at some point!!

Re: Motec CDIs
I have sent Aly a mail but not heard back yet.
You're right Tony, it does indeed have an Ohlins shock, and Maxton fork internals, it also has some writing on the motor but I haven't had a proper look, the panels are coming off at the weekend so i'll know more then.

Can tell you one thing for sure its not a Motec!!
And another dont get water in it or will be reduced to scrap in a day!!

They are very good, basically fully adjustable ignition, but no where near as user friendly as a Ignitec or the like, really for Pro Dyno use only.
I ran these on my bikes from 04-06, but swapped back to Chipped HRC CDi after getting continual starting problems. Showed god BHP on Dyno but everything needed to be spot on. Have since changed again to Dynopro programmable ignitions.
What you have there was over £1000 new, and also needed an amplifier for the spark circuit.
As long as map not been messed with was set up for my #1 bike running RLR stage 3 tune. Sold it back in 07, cant remember who to, but was loom and ignition only, dont think will have a stage 3 motor in that bike.
Does it start ok??
Al
