Just received answer from Mike from G-Force. He do offer 414cc, 428cc and 454cc Kits. 428cc is recomended. CNC machined
10BHP increse. 2mm overbore and only requires boring of the cases/cylinders to do. The cost approximatelly 1800$ per set.
Will it worth the cost?

£100/euro per BHP you decide...that of course does not include any costs along the way the cost of the rebore £ ??, a head gasket alone is around £40 then you are going to be wanting to look at the internal bearings etc etc....
So possibly worth the price of the kit its self as I imagine there is a fair bit of quality stuff in it but waht would be the point unless you are really going to make the most of it...valve stem seals, clean up the head regrind/replace the valves.

big bore kit is out of the question as its against the rules. i was thinking rfv pistons, maybe take alittle off the head if there's enough room and a programable ignition. i was hoping this would close the gap alittle to the zxr's.
the bike goes well now as its a fresh std engine with ram air kit, jetted to suit and full exhaust system. im not loosing too much down the straights but its frustrating having to push that extra .2-.5 (depending on track) of a sec a lap to make the same lap times as a rider on a zxr.

but look,speak to mega as he had hi comp pistons fitted to his cbr...rvf i think,and well,as u know he was doin 45's round the island...not alot faster than what you do round there.
if the rules change here for next year u can also run flatslides on your cbr..which may help against the zxrs...
unsure if thats going to help against the 2 80+hp fzrs we now have down here in vic tho..

25. Compression
Compression must be standard for the make and model.
There goes both the piston and head skimming idea. Apparently skimming the heads is a real bastard of a job because of the gear driven cams
18. CDI’s and Coils
Must be from the same make OR model
There goes the programmable ignition, your only real choice is a HRC CDI which is considered to be the same make
Of course it's all academic given you only do track-days, you are Dan Smith aren't you?

hahaha, im not worried about aussie racers reading this. if they can beat me with the same setup good for them. this is just research incase of the rule change next year. flatslides are probably too pricey to put on the nc29. as it stands now im 50/50 about selling the nc29 and getting a cheap sp to trick out.
danny - good point about the head skimming and the drive gears, never gave it much thought but that makes it alittle harder.
as for the 80hp fzr's i dont think they'll be running to full potential as they have already blown up a couple of times. but if they get them running right were in trouble

Which rule change are we talking about? I hear flat slides may be in for everyone (a move which goes completely against the cost limitation intent of the formula 400 rules I might add) but are there other rules being mooted and in which sub-set of the 400s? Wouldn't it be nice if we could have one set of rules for all of the states and series

If you read Kens ad for his bike on the formula-extreme website, he had a bit more work done to that bike than high comp pistons.

during the PI round of the 2008 mrrda series there was a meeting about the 400 class. basically the decision was made to run a stock and superstock class.
stock - std bike except exhaust system and fork/shock internals changed.
superstock - must be 400cc everything else is legal.
the aim of this is to get the 400 numbers back up to what it used to be. im not sure if this will bring back the racers or if it will split the field even further.
im not sure if this format will go ahead or how other clubs are going to run the 400's, all very early days.
just had a look at what shit was done to kens bike, no wonder he got into the 45's. once i get my bike handling right should be able to nock off 45's easy.
