Did This Come Off My Bike?

Post by Woddy »

While adjusting the chain slack on the bike today after fitting a new rear sprocket and a general check over, I could hear what seemed to be this part fall to the floor from the bike, unless it was already on the floor which I am almost certain that it wasn't. I have looked high and low to see where this may have come from and have found nothing, I don't really want to ride the bike on the track untill i am sure what it is. Hopefully it has nothing to do with the bike :? ? It is about 1 and a half inches in length with a flat head adjuster on the same side as the thread..

Thanks

That 'screw' looks to be made from alloy rather than steel :?:
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

I'm trying to think of a flat head screw, all I could remember was the clutch adjuster in the sproket cover ... but I think that's a phillips
