thanks for all your reply's people
pretty much as i thought, separate chain and sprockets is probably the way to go, better quality and cheaper, which is always good ;),

I'll probably go with an O ring chain with a soft link, rather than an MX chain and split link, as i managed to pick up a second hand scot oiler for £20, so less maintenance and i'm not keen on split links for chains as i had some comedian remove the clip from a chain years ago, i only make it across the car park which was lucky, as the chain warped itself round the front sprocket and punched a hole in the engine casing, couldn't prove who did it, if i could there would have been a headstone involved ;)

@kayla you would recommend those bearings then ?
locally i'd be looking at about £60 for all 5 and bearingboys would be just over a 1/3 of that, so if your happy with em then that's good enough for me and another result

as for the ceramic bearings, if only money was no object, they do look pretty bloody good though,
below 4 mins with 1 push :o in the video description is the web address for "www.microblueracing.com" if you fancy giving em a go EC, hope you got deep pockets

Those bearings are fine, they always supply branded parts unless you specifically buy 'budget' bearings.
