Wow! Any reason you need such a cold plug?

Graham France sells them but I warn you, he's not cheap at £14 sterling per plug.

Try www.gsparkplug.com (The Green Spark Plug Company), they sell them 40% cheaper than GF at £10 sterling.

You should be able to get them cheaper in the States though. In fact, IIRC, NGK's USA HQ is in Santa Clara on Scott Boulevard. can't you buy direct?
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

10 is hotter..innit?

They are easily available from anywhere Mike - I got my last set from Graeme France a while back.

Only used 2 of them and they gave me starting problems, in the cold...in February!

got 2 new and 2 that never were used - want them?

I was told 10s are cooler as 9's overheat ( for racing anyway)

10s are COOLER. They are for extended running at higher speeds. We have used the 9s for years, but the porcelin blisters and the diode erodes quickly. We got a hold of the 10s to test and the bike just ran better (this is our 97hp 450). Honda recommends the 10s for racetrack use with the stock engine, so for race engines like our 428s or 450s, they are REQUIRED.

Unfortunately, our suppliers tell us that they are "obsolete" here in the states. That's pretty funny about NGK. I live in Santa Clara about 2 blocks from Scott Blvd. Didn't know they were here. I saw them down in Southern California when I lived there.

I'll check into this further. But, if I could find a Honda part number I can try to order from my buddies in Japan.

Thanks for the feedback so far.

Cheers,

Mike - I used the ngk R847-10 centre electrode race plugs as per the hrc manual, you can still get these in the states at a good price (link below). You can also get 11 heat rating.

I never had any starting or fouling issues with them on my race bike. You know you want them! ;)

The centre dot, racing plugs like cammo suggested might be the best option. :)
