Re: Fell in love...wasn't to be! (NC35)
Quick update....the seller has just contacted me through 'Fleabay' and asked if I've had any more thought about the NC35.....I'm guessing he's not had any offers since I viewed it. I have to be honest, I liked the bike when I viewed it, and it's local to me...but after reading the comments on here I think I was lucky he didn't accept my offer. I would really refer one with original paint, and as I'm not bothered if I get either a NC30 or NC35 I'm taking all your collective advice and waiting for the 'right one'. I'll mail him back to be polite, but this one wasn't meant to be!

I think it depends on the amount you want to pay and what you want for your money. Personally for 2k you can get a very nice original NC30. That's probably the way I would go, have you had a look at Zygoats on here in the for sale section. It's missing some graphics but looks a real nice bike.

stick us up a link to the bike on ebay.
£2.5 is far too much IMO.
£2k is a lot...
I'd buy Graeme France's NC30 and some panels for that cash...

yep sounds like he's had no other offers ;oD
In the past I've offered money for bikes and been rejected, so I've said "well can you keep my number if you change your mind?". There's always another bus as my dad used to say.
5/10 I've had the call
sometimes 3 weeks after. Just be careful what you wish for though

Re: Fell in love...wasn't to be! (NC35)
i just paid 2700 for my RVF which is a bit steep, but i liked the bike. It has 9000 genuine miles and is completely mint all round, no corrosion or anything. If you like the bike, go for it, you may be paying a few hundred more than it is POSSIBLE TO BUY AN RVF FOR but this is the best time to buy a bike and you are never going to lose a significant amount of money on one of these as prices are only going to go up!
I was looking for 3 months for one to come up at a decent price, the only ref's that were for sale in that time were sheds for 2k or complete original minters for 4k.
Personally i wasn't bothered and in fact did not really want a completely original bike and then mine came up and i fell in love, so knowing i was probably paying a few hundred quid too much i went and got it.
The castrol one seems to be very similar in terms of condition and spec as mine.
