Re: Vfr 400 nc24 question
Carbs are gravity fed, there is no fuel pump, but if the engine is turning over then they will be sucking fuel from the carbs, so yes you can still flood it.missis sumner wrote:Does fuel still get pumped to the carbs with the kill switch on? Just asking, like, as it may be the reason for my slight engine flooding last night...sp00ka wrote:Neo, u always no lol
When I was 1st trying to start the bike with full chock I realised I had the kill switch onbut turned it off and still wouldn't start, might have flooded it , I'll charge battery and try again , thanks for all help , is there any think I should do to the bike while storing over winter ?

Ooops. Still, after trying to start it with the kill switch on, then getting it going but having the revs just die down with full choke on, it started again after I left it for 10 minutes. It was still "hunting" a bit on the choke, but ran fine when it warmed up.Neosophist wrote:Carbs are gravity fed, there is no fuel pump, but if the engine is turning over then they will be sucking fuel from the carbs, so yes you can still flood it.missis sumner wrote:Does fuel still get pumped to the carbs with the kill switch on?
