1989, twin exhaust to single??
hey guys im just wondering how easy it is, or even if its possible, to get my hands on a different exhaust system for my '89 400. not that the 4 into 2 pipes dont look good, but i would prefer 4 into 1, especially if i could manage to get a nice race can or something of the like to fit? anyone tried this or know anyone who has? cheers guys.

You could block one side off and then run a race can on the other side. I think the twins look real nice, if you can afford a pair of race cans it would look bitchin!

i had the twin pipes fitted to my GK71F and the manifold lines up spot on. The only problem you will have is with sump clearance as mine had a large section chopped out and welded to clear it. but if you also swap the sumps this shouldn't be a problem

on my old gk73a when i had it, i fitting on a 4 into 1 from a gk76a onto mine as my old system was rotten, the only mod i had to do was to cut out the T brace from the belly pan on the fairings as the pipe came out forwards a bit to much apart from that they were fine, you might have to just your needle heights a little if you find you end up with a flat spot but i just raised my needles slightly and that seemed to cure it..
