The a/f ratios don't look too bad at all, it is down on power and torque though.

I would be suspecting a tired engine rather than poor fuelling causing this.

A compression test would tell you more.

Have given engine a good once over and check everything, can't remember what comp readings where but they were in tolerence. valve clearances all ok too. bike had not been looked after very well so given full service changed all fluids and sorted electrics out seems to pull well too

hi guyz..

before i followed the guide for the carbs the bike was runing OK it was a bit ruff thought it would be the obvious spark plugs n air filter as it was due on a service for a while..when i pulled out the plugs and the filter they were filthy thought id also give the carbs a go it was well worth it as the jets were in wrong settings...

k after carefully following the guide now the bike wount start at all it will keep kicking over but wount start i got so fustrated that i drained the battery..

Things that i might have messed up.

*main jets were screwed due to previous owner or service person having clumsy hands and i made em even worse but all wholes were unblocked
*i think ive done somthing wrong with the fuel lines as there is so many hoses leading to nothing but some sort of drainage
*k the pilot screw settings, you know how your are suppose to turn them in all the way n then 2 turns out for a stock bike are u suppose to do only if u have raised the needle drilled a 2.5mm hole and add a 1mm washer or u could just do that anyway to restore orignial settings.
*i did withdraw the slides out to check if the needles were in correct order which i fixed but the spring in the slide cover didnt make any sense to me as the needle set on tiny springs them selfs and once tightned that part didnt interfere with the slide cover spring(my one didnt)
*the hose with the nozzle that sits on top of the fuel tank on the right hand side is kinda squashed up a lil bit as i brought it from the left side off the carbs through to the front and then appearing it back up from the right..im assuming i shouldve brought from underneath the carbs to the right n straight up.

k sorry for the bad details im a new b to bikes..

did you refill the carbs with fuel? there is not a prime option on these bikes and it took me 2 full battery charges to get mine to run

Yesss thank u,that was one thing I was Gona ask if u have to refill the carbs manually as I dnt think there's like a fuel pump mechanism in their normally I remember in the rotaries I used to own all used to have a fuel pump that would pump pre start so how do i refill the carbs manually..thanx guys any help would b great.
