No it doesn't run the air filter either but you could put some gauze over the carb to airbox base to catch the majority of the crud

oh hmm. ohwell never mind then. i wont bother, soo then do you think that hrc ss/sp box is making my bike run too rich? cause it is spewing up fire from the exhaust most of the times.

Your bike is ill becuase it's ill, not becuase of the speed off unit if you have it fitted.

I'm still pretty sure they only remove the speed limiter as you ditch the clocks on a race-bike, so it would save you having a circuit board flopping around or a cut and soldered loom.

I had a blog where somebody dyno'd it back to back with an M-max de-restrictor box and didn't have any difference.

He said it felt as though there was an ignition difference over 10,000rpm (maybe some kind of static advance) but it didn't make anymore power (bike was totally stock).

All unverified though.

doesn't anyone on here have any gear to test the stock ignition and compare it with the sp unit connected?

I'm almost 100% Paulbfd (Paul fallows I think he was called, had a lovely vorstok nc30 with silhouette bodywork and usd) checked this on the old forum and he came back and said he was 1hp down with the SS/SP box.

Testing the ss/sp box is pointless unless the carbs are modified to ss/sp spec also
