FZR400 3tj ---- R6 Shock
Can someone tell me is this the right shock for the 3TJ -R6 shock conversion.
Also Is it the R6 shock top bolt that is used or is it the 400 one.
Thanks

I would emagine its the 3JT bolt,as it's a 3TJ Frame,You will also need an extention addapter for the bottom mount.

I think I heard the 750 shock is close to the 3TJ's but I couldn't say for certain. They'd probably need a rebuild though so if you factor that in they're going to cost roughly the same as the R6 and shock extension.
The R6 shock is pretty good standard unit and it's a known conversion

Yea the 750 is the same from what I can make out ,,,,"google''
Going to get the rrsp one rebuilt and see how it goes first but if not happy will try the R6 ,
The rrsp one might feel a bit better with a rebuild and set up again,

They are the same shock but the Ace has a heavier spring.
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

The R6 shock top mount bolt is 10mm, but the 3TJ bolt 12mm, so you need top-hat washers or mod the 3TJ top mount locating bracket.
