Will the 3TJ Downpipes fit the 3EN2?
I have just purchased a set of 3TJ Downpipes from ebay for my 3EN2, does anyone know if there will be any issues with re-fitting my side fairings etc ??

The 3TJ is slightly shorter I think so they might be a bit to tight and they won't sit right. There might be bodywork issues too.

I think so.
You might find it difficult to seat the end can.
Hey, welcome to the forum
Seeing as you've got these pipes then you might as well have a look at fitting them. You'll notice the downpipes are longer and exup is a bit further back and exup chamber has stainless on it. If they don't fit well or they look to close to the fairing lowers you should be able to sell them and keep looking for a set to suit your 3en2.
Those pipes were also used on the 3en1 and 2tk the 87 SP. Trainspotting knowlege, the bolt for the back mount on your original pipes is M7 and is the only M7 on the bike, so if you take it off put it somewhere safe (not like I did).

This is the set I have just purchased http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180753028551? ... 1497.l2649
I'm sure your right that i may be able to get a trade for a good set for the 3en2, the pipe i am taking off has a good condition Exup valve although the downpipes are like a teabag due to the bike being stood for several years. The bike itself is in cracking condition for it's age apart from the downpipes being corroded. I have managed to balance the carbs even though I have had to use a full tub of exhaust putty on the teabagged pipes. the engine has only covered 13k.
I have been combing for a good set of pipes for this bike for the past month so i thought i would take the risk with trying out these pipes of the 3TJ as they are in really good condition

Re: Will the 3TJ Downpipes fit the 3EN2?
Did manage to fit the 3TJ Downpipes, had to grind the top Exup valve cover lug off so the pipes sit flush under the engine giving 5mm claerance. also i had to cut 2" off the tail end off the pipes so the link pipe would fit at the right angle. also had to fabricate a 2" spacer panel for the bottom fairings. :)
