race fairings for NC30, where to buy ?

hello

i'd like to replace my slightly used fairing on my track bike, but I find many many fairings on the net, going grom 150£ to over 600£.
wich one are the good one? I want a white one, already drilled, ready to pain.
i found one on ebay, but the seller won't answer my mails, so I guess he does not want to sell

I reckon you can get a closed bottom section lowers from many places..and a lovely endurance style upper from Rick

I have had two experiences with race fairings.

If you want the best, then grab your closed lowers from Gavin at jap4performance. Pricey? Yes. But the build quality is fantastic. We used them all last season and they hold up pretty well in an off.

When we were in a tight spot I picked up some from Fairings Direct or Bardney Racing. Super-cheap but the fit is poor, they arent tough in any way and they make your bike smell like a freshly made canoe.

If you want some that are in the middle of the price range then Graeme France might have race bodywork available. We used his ditto seat units this year and I was very impressed with them and yet they didnt cost loads. So if they are anything to go by... give him a go :)

you do get 10% off though for being on greybike so not all bad considering they hold up well in crashes and at £99.00 for the lower is not too bad

Try ANR, pretty sure they make all GF's kit anyway. If you get the choice and weight isnt really an issue go for the chopped strand type, much stronger than the woven type fairings.

Thats completly wrong chopped strand cracks and breaks much easier than the woven type. Woven type GRP bends and flexies much better than chopped strand and is much lighter and easier to fix. I have loads of guys who come to us for the TYGA stuff because they know it stands up to a load of abuse compared to chopped strand stuff they have bought that shattered when it hit the deck. They love the fact that they can just patch it up and off they go again.
I have one guy who dropped the bike at over a ton twice and is still using the same fairing as he was able to patch it up as it just holed instead of shattering like the chopped strand stuff.

Im not putting tyga stuff down gav, ive got plenty of it myself but for track fairings i prefer chopped strand. Each to their own i spose, my chopped faring has it the deck many times and has just ground away without cracking. Again im not refering to tyga kit but some of the cheaper woven fairings ive seen are terrible and fit poorly, fine for racing if thats what you do.

I would put that down to the makers then not the actual material used as woven stuff is much better to work with and you should if you are doing it correctly get a better fit and finish than with chopped strand plus you gain the advantage of it being much lighter than chopped strand.
