Further update
still not happy with bike
set the exup valve correctly
then checked the air filter
it was full of crap, probably original!
Took it out
Ran bike and got it to rev into red on
half throttle but wont take full throttle
Removed carbs and noticed o ring next to
diaphragm on carbs 2 & 3 missing and a crack in 1 of the
tops.
I found some o rings at a local hardware store and will
put carbs back on after wknd
i think ive found my problem

As far as I know the UK spec headlights with the twin paralever lamps are the same as the Jap ones and take the same bulbs, which is the problem.

You can use different style lamps but that's not really the point.

I have epoxy puttied the outside, but thers a sharp edge inside
That could damage the diaphragm
Also where can i get a new air filter from?
And my needles are set on the richest position, is this correct?
