Just a quick note to point out that I edited my earlier post to reflect that it is indeed a 14 tooth front sprocket, not 15.
Sounds to me like you should track down a different gearbox. I don't think that any combination of final drive ratios are going to give you the engine characteristics that you're looking for.

To be honest ,I think you're hung up a little bit on what gears you're using. Just keep your left foot busy, keep the engine spinning above 10k revs and you'll be just fine!

J im sure the 6th gear ratios are shared on the 73/76 and bandit (same part no.)tho the sp's have slightly lower ratio. The 14/47 was bang on at cadwell with my b4 just hitting 13000 rpm at the end of park straight, down two for park and the flat in fourth around chris's. I could hit 6th down the start/finish straight the flat in 5th around coppice. :grin:

diff ppl work diff ways. slap a 14 back on the front i found it fine for me on my old bike
