3TJ Headlilght Bulbs.

Post by Alex. »

Hi Guys.

Where can I get a pair of headlight bulbs for my 3TJ?
I have tried the main dealers, but at £27 per bulb I'd rather buy from somewhere cheaper!

These are the same as the 1000 RU 91-92 and I know a former owner who searched for alternatives with no sucess.

I haven't looked at the 3TJ lights yet but I saw that Leopard Pagan's CBR400 was converted to use H4 bulbs. Two of the three bulb locators are commonthe third wasn't. If the Yam's bulbs are the same then it's a case of modding the holder by cutting the third bit out.

You need to keep the same bulb rating or if you go higher fit a relay http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/V ... .php#micro" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

From comparing the bulbs of my 4 & 6, they are different sizes with the 400 being smaller. It may be a clearance issue, but I will have a look to see if it is possible.

Just wondering why they would make the bulbs smaller, surely there must be a reason other than selling more parts.....
