Ahhh I'm envious, this looks like a belter of a project - enjoy it and keep it picture heavy!

Ha, ha! Norfolk's own force-v4!
Im sure there are many people on here that have as much, or more nc30 stuff than me
4 bikes + all the spares isnt that much (is it?)
I know Kris had 5 bikes (nc30's) @ 1 point.
& if you can, you dont want to sell that nose-cone, you want to keep it for a rainy day, you know a "fee" for all your hard work
Anyway, good luck mate.

Re: Project 8<4<2<1
cheers mate, it's looking like I have a decent base to work with, I just need a battery so I can check the electrics :)
Will get some pics soon when something new happens
I was going to try and get the whole bike instead of being paid in cash for the labour, I'd definately try and keep hold of the complete bodykit, both are genuine Honda (nosecone aside) and in varying conditions, the red and black has a couple of cracks, but nothing I can't fibreglass

Re: Project 8<4<2<1
I've made a little progress, got to work on it 8-10 after work today, not much, but I got some stuff done,
this is what it looks like, I've chenged the lockset and top yoke (this was stolen recovered, they trashed the yoke trying to break the barrel out)

couple of the exhaust and inside the swing arm (cleaning work will begine properly on sunday)

and this wheel should be white, the rear is just covered in brake dust and road grime

anyone got any idea what that system is? I'm sure it's a Sansei (not just because of the can, the rear pipes are twisted)

Re: Project 8<4<2<1
I now have a battery for this, I pinched the one off my own bike the other day, only really meaning to check the ignition switch was working ok, I ended up doing the whole lot, and amazingly EVERYTHING works, not so much as a blown dash light
I promptly got the guy to order me in a nice new Lucas battery, so will bung that in tomorrow.
All I need now is 4 carb rubbers and 4 of the clips (rubbers were rock solid and had to be cut off, and the bottom 4 clips were rusted in too badly to salvage) and I ca attempt to get it started.
Forgot to mention, when I had the rear wheel off I noticed the disc was nearly new, the pait was still nice and bright silver, with no lip at the edge, but the adjuster is mangled. The goo news is the other bike's hub is fine, so I'll transplant that and see if the disc is any good to save me a job changing it, if it is and I don't need to bother swapping discs my rear is warped, and needs to be changed
would pay for the labour so far if I had that (so far I've spent about 2 or 3 hours on it doing various jobs, and at dealer rates that's between £120 and £210!)

Re: Project 8<4<2<1
I tried to text you back about that, but I haven't learnt how to on the new phone yet lol I'll try and get mine off, but I hammered it on after getting pissed off with it keep coming off and turning a bit.
I've asked matey to order me a set of rubbers, have you got 4 of the clips by any chance?

Re: Project 8<4<2<1
More news, I've swapped the clock casings over, WFA was in KM's and an overlay but ANG had an MPH convertor which matey wanted swapping over, so I swapped the cases. I thought I'd buggered the electrics up because the 'TURN' idiot light was on solid, I tried out the indicator switch which made the 'OIL' light flash, and saw that the position of the 2 had swapped.
On further inspection it would appear it's the same setup as on the RC30?! It's different to both my bikes, and looking at ebay pics appears to be the same as the RC :S
Got some rubbers and clips arriving in the next few days, so should be able to get it started this week, then it's just a couple of little jobs (servicing and cleaning mostly) and I'll put it in for MOT
