Hi Mark,
The long rod goes inside the center of the shaft that the clutch fits on, the thin steel pin looks like the pin that stops the oil pump gear from turning on its shaft (fits through a hole in shaft), the small rubber cube goes at the bottom of the cam chain guide, it fits in loose and when you clamp the casings together it is pinched up against the guide.
The other small metal thing is not clear enough for me to know, can you post a better picture.
Chris.

Re: erm, anyone know where these go?????
LOL- what is the small steel piece tho? has to be either one of the pegs that stop the bearings spinning, peg that holds the gear dent on to the selector shaft or if its hollow one of the rollers from off a gear fork.
Note- There should be two of the rubber cubes and if the dent has been removed from the selector it MUST be fitted the correct way round ( i have personal experience) or the gears seem to work until the motor is fitted and it sticks in third then you have to drop the motor and completely rebuild it.

thanks for that info, managed to fit the 2 black bits ok, will look out for oil pump, got the gears and everything sorted, managed to fit the top casing and done it all up in order sequence, but think i have nipped something as the crank wont turn freely
will i have to take it apart again or is this normal ?

Re: erm, anyone know where these go?????
it won't be one of the bearing locating pins as they should not come out of the bearing as they are press fit. more likely the selectors that has a habit of falling out.
