Back on the Forum - New 3EN2 Project

Post by uniquefzrfreak »

Had to sell up a year or so ago due to Car MOT!

Just picked up a 3EN2 in bits for 2 hundred off eBay, so will be back on regular again!

Hopefully with less daft questions this time around.

Repeat everything I did before with less thinking needed, less trial and error and this time - don't sell it when I've crossed the half way mark.

Blue or Gold spots
3tj rear
Thunder cat front end, Inc progressive springs
3tj carbs, pod filters, stage 1 jet kit
Under seat exhaust, stubby gp can
Taylor leads, dyna coils
Ally rad
R6 seat
Ally fuel tank
R6 shock
Silver paint job
Braided hoses
Big bore kit!

Perhaps a couple of flying pigs thrown in for good measure, but gonna give it all a go! Lol.

My 5th Fzr, never finished one, so this time......

I wouldn't use progressive springs on adjustable forks and loose the big bore kit for a 3HE engine (you could build in the T'Cat top end and use it's carbs) Pod filters can be a dog to set up but you could use the bottom of the fuel tank as an airbox.

Now that I do like!

Thanks very much, noted. Hope to confirm the acquisition of a 3HE engine soon. :)

The TCAT top end sounds like a definite too.

Well, just agreed to swap my good 400 engine in bits, plus a spare untested engine complete less clutch but with one ready to fit - for a test 3HE 600 engine, plus electrics, carbs etc!

Hopefully swapping Saturday, will just then have to find a TCAT top end!

Knowing how things can get away from people you might want to fit up and run the 3HE first then do the big bore after .... ;)
